MIDCOURSE RESERVE

Public BBQ

Tucked along West Lake's shoreline, Midcourse Reserve offers families a delightful escape with its compact playground perfectly sized for little ones aged 3-5. The lake views create a memorable backdrop, though parents should note the playground sits close to the road without fencing. What struck me most was the reserve's peaceful atmosphere; it's rarely crowded, making it ideal for a relaxed family outing. The short stroll to nearby cafes adds convenience, while the broader West Lakes area provides excellent walking paths for extending your visit. The location proves its versatility with a small beach area and fishing spots for those seeking variety. The facilities include toilets, though the playground could benefit from more shade during Adelaide's warmer months. West Lakes Shopping Centre sits conveniently nearby, making this an easy addition to errands.
